Sadly, I didn't realize the genius behind the Seattle Grunge Rock scene until well after his apparent suicide. My son blames Courtney Love. I blame the fame. Whatever the cause of his passing, his legend will live on. This is the second piece I've done of Kurt and I feel it's my better of the two.

Pencil, ink and a little help with the blacks and adding color to his eyes - by Photoshop... Nothing can darken quite as well...

I love Kurt and this picture. Even though I was only 2 when Kurt died he is my favorite artist/singer of all time. I recently (May 27 2009) got a portrait tattoo of this same picture on my left arm.
